She has applied these skills with success to hundreds of productions for local and international clients. A keen interest in the ‘human condition’ and an empathy for people who want to tell their stories – whatever the story – give Julie’s work a characteristic honesty and compassion. She has produced a number of internationally award winning programmes. These include; CNN African Journalist of the Year (2005 & 2015), Lorenzo Natali Human Rights European Commission Award and a Bridget Bardot Genesis Wildlife Award commendation. Local awards include; SAB Environmental Journalist of the year, Discovery Health Journalist of the Year and Vodacom Journalist of the Year.
